Help for the Homeless

The information below was compiled by a wonderful young person, Yi. She asked if we could help get this information shared. Mega thanks to these organisations and hopefully any homeless people that don't yet know where to find help will do very shortly...



Day Centres: offer sanctuary and support for people experiencing homelessness.


Bristol Methodist Centre (toilets, clothes, wifi, phone charging available)

●       Location: Lincoln Street, Lawrence Hill, BS5 0BJ

●       Time: Monday 10-3pm; Tuesday 10-3pm; Wednesday 10-3pm; Thursday 1:15-3pm

●       Breakfast here Monday to Wednesday 10-11am

●       Lunch here Monday to Wednesday 12:30-1:30pm

●       Dinner here Monday and Friday 7:30-9pm

●       Showers here Monday to Thursday 10-2:30pm


The Wild Goose (toilets, clothes, wifi, phone charging available)

●       Location: 32 Stapleton Road, BS5 0QY

●       Time: Monday 9:30-3pm and 7:30-9pm; Wednesday 9:30-3pm; Thursday 9:30-3pm; Friday 9:30-3pm and 7:30-9pm

●       Breakfast here Monday, Wednesday to Friday 9:30-10:30am

●       Lunch here Monday, Wednesday to Friday 12-1pm

●       Showers here Monday 10-11:30am and 2-3pm; Wednesday to Friday 10:30-11:30am and 2-3pm

●       Drop in clinic Wednesday 2-3pm


BOSH Outreach Cafe (toilets, clothes, wifi, phone charging available)

●       Location: 64 Bond Street, Broadmead, BS1 3LZ (the building next to McDonalds, between McDonalds and Fabric Lands, second floor, clear windows with blue stripes)

●       Open Monday to Friday 10-4pm

●       Breakfast here Monday to Sunday 9-10am


Dinner places

Feed the Homeless

●       Time: Friday and Sunday 7-8pm (The queue starts around 6:30pm)

●       Location: Bristol Centre Quaker Meeting House, Champion Square (The Future Inn across Five Guys in Cabot Circus. Go through the tunnel on the left of Future Inn, it’s next to the building with the red door. There should be people lining up from 6:30pm)


Roots Independent Street Team

●       Time: Every Thursday 7-8pm

●       Location: Bristol Centre Quaker Meeting House, Champion Square


Soup Run Trust (Every night of the year)

●       Time: 9:15-9:40 pm; Location: Tower Hill, on the wall surrounding the grounds of Pip 'n' Jay. BS2 0JD

●       Time: 9:45-10:15 pm; Location: St. Mary's Redcliffe Church, along the wall on Pump Lane, BS1 6RA


Julian Trust Night Shelter (toilets available)

●       Time: Monday to Wednesday 8-9:30pm; Friday 8-9:30pm

●       Location: 16 Little Bishop Street, St Pauls, Bristol, BS2 9JF

Riverside Care and Support - Jamaica Street (accepts dogs, 18+)

●       Accept referrals from any agency.


Second Step Homefield Court (accepts dogs, 22+)

●       1 Harvey's Lane, St George, BS5 8HD

●       Referral procedure: Referrals / nominations come form the weekly Operational Managers Group meetings, we also take clients from the waiting list from emergency accommodation on HSR.


St Mungos Deans Crescent (accepts dogs, women only, 22+)

●       100 Temple Street, BS1 6AE

●       Referral procedure: Bristol City Council, Present at 100 Temple Street, Citizen Service Point.


St Mungos Longhills (18+, accepts dogs, accepts ex-offenders, drug/alcohol issues)

●       100 Temple Street, BS1 6AG

●       Referral procedure: Drop in to Bristol City Council. Appointment will be given to assess housing need at Bristol City Council, 100 Temple St, Bristol, BS1 6AG

Shower and Laundry Facilities: Some shower places are at day centres above.


Help Bristol’s Homeless

●       Time: 10-4pm

●       Location: Spring Street, Bedminster, BS3 4PZ


Julian Trust Night Shelter

●       Time: Monday to Wednesday 8-9:30pm; Friday 8-9:30pm

●       Location: 16 Little Bishop Street, St Pauls, Bristol, BS2 9JF


BDP Clinic: they run wet clinics where people can access health care and support without the need to stop drinking

●       Tuesday 2-4pm: Emmanuel Meeting House, Narrow Lewins Mead, Bristol, BS1 2NN

●       Wednesday 2-4pm: The Wild Goose Drop-in Centre, 32 Stapleton Road, Easton, Bristol, BS5 0QY


Animal support: provides free care for dogs for owners experiencing homelessness.

●       Call 020 7833 7611 (Monday - Friday 9-5pm) to find out where you can access this support.


Seasonal Support: SWEP is activated during emergency weather.

●       Phone 0117 407 0330 directly to access. Can do so for yourself or have someone call for you.
